African Utility Knife In Olive
Description
Description
Taking over three years to develop, these knives have been perfected as the ultimate field companion. From skinning to woodworking, the steel blade truly does it all. All the knives are handmade, hand-sanded to 1500 grit, glued with epoxy, and brass pinned for strength.
The handles are made from 1000-year-old Wild Olive. It was barn cured in Turkey for 30 years, before being ready to work with. The wood is then pressure "cooked" in cactus juice, at 2 bars of pressure for approximately 6 weeks. This process "seals" the wood and preserves it for generations to come.
Our sheaths are all made from 100% sustainably sourced bovine leather which is vegetable tanned and hand stitched to fit each individual blade.
We can ship knives to international locations directly from the Purdey Store. If you would like to place an order or have any questions, please contact our friendly team at Audley House who will be delighted to assist.
