The Loden provides warmth and a Sympatex liner makes the coat 100% waterproof and windproof whilst still being breathable. Practicality is key, therefore the handwarmer pockets contain a retainer strap for the flaps of the cartridge pockets to ensure you have easy access when loading. To avoid opening your coat in cold weather, a security pocket can be found by the front poppers in addition to the internal ones. A high collar and a storm cuff stops cold air or rain from entering and the arms have an action-back so that movement is not restricted. Loden, originally from Austria, is a heavy woolen fabric with a thick, short pile. It's water-resistant and exceptionally warm, a sustainable and durable fabric that will get passed on for generations.
